Roman Sklyar appointed Head of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan

President of Kazakhstan Касым-Жомарт Токаев has carried out a reshuffle within the Presidential Administration.

Roman Sklyar has been appointed as the new Head of the Presidential Administration, replacing Aibek Dadebayev, who had held the position since 2024.

Following the appointment, Sklyar has been relieved of his previous role as First Deputy Prime Minister.

The reasons behind the changes have not been disclosed.

Roman Sklyar will turn 55 in May. He has been in public service since the late 1990s, holding various senior roles in the administrations of Pavlodar and Astana, including Deputy Akim.

Since 2019, he has been part of the national government, serving as Deputy Prime Minister. He was reappointed to this position twice.

From 2022 until his latest appointment, Sklyar served as First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

The appointment marks another personnel reshuffle within the presidential administration, though its underlying reasons remain undisclosed.
